History

continued

The Lilli Ann brand was diversified into several lines throughout the 60s and 70s. In the 60s, the signature look also changed in response to fashion trends. Masterminded by the Italian designer Cosmo Giannoulis, Lilli Ann designs of this time are a wearable, adult interpretation of 60s youth fashion.

In the 1970s, Lilli Ann production became focused primarily on career clothing. Designer Jeanne Taylor developed the "Career Lilli Ann" line, experimenting with new textiles such as Ultrasuede.

The company's productions became very diffuse at this time. Along with the career line, petite, knits, special collections for department stores, an "Adolph Schuman for Lilli Ann" line, and more were marketed in an ever-larger array.
